Fed: Skilled vacancies up 1.0 per cent in Dec

DEWR said vacancies increased in 10 of the 18 occupational groups in December.

The strongest rises were for construction trades (10.2 per cent), metal trades (5.5
per cent), electrical and electronics trades (3.8 per cent), and medical and science technical
officers (3.4 per cent).

The biggest falls were for building and engineering professionals (down 6.0 per cent),
organisation and information professionals (down 5.8 per cent) and accountants and auditors
(4.4 per cent).
