Fed: Hit and run leaves woman critical

Australian Federal Police say a possible hit-and-run accident has left a Canberra woman
fighting for her life.

Police say a truck driver found the 33-year-old woman lying injured beside one of Canberra's
main roads this morning.

The ACT Ambulance Service says the woman has been taken to Canberra Hospital with head
and limb injuries, and remains there in a critical condition.

A police spokeswoman says investigations are underway and they're looking at the possibility
the woman was injured in a hit-and-run accident.
