Fed: Australian dual citizen hurt in Austrian bus crash: DFAT

An Austrian-Australian dual national has been slightly injured in a bus crash in Austria,
which killed five people and injured 34.

The bus, which was carrying 46 people, plunged 30 metres down an embankment south of
Salzburg overnight.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade initially thought reports an Australian
was on the bus were incorrect.

But a departmental spokesman says a 29-year-old Austrian-Australian dual national,
originally from Melbourne, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
